After two wins, Aljaž lost in the last round of qualification against Slovak Andrei Martin with 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. After a strong start Aljaž started having problems with his contact lenses and was unable to play at his best.

After a very tight final match against Martin Fucsovics, Aljaž won his eight ATP Challenger in his career. After healing his wrist injury he is on a good path to return higher on the rankings.

Aljaž lost the first round against Kevin Anderson with 6-3 7-5 6-2. Today the luck was not on his side, when he was trying to convert any of a lot of break points. Anyway Aljaž showed a good performance altogether.

After two wins against James McGee and Martin Alund, Aljaž lost the last round of qualies against a very inspired Denis Kudla. Anyway Aljaž was drawn as a lucky looser. In the first round he will play against the 20th seed Kevin Anderson.

After short abstinence from tennis courts due to the injury, Aljaž returned to ATP at Queen’s. He showed good performance but Paul Henri Mathieu was better with 6-7(2) 4-6.

Left wrist injury

On the tournament in Italy (Vercelli open) Aljaž felt the pain in his left wrist. After consideration, he decided to leave out a few tournaments and heal the wrist and come back on tour 100% ready.
